Booking Your Boat

No. Atlantis and Aiolia can be rented without a boat licence. Before departure, we provide a complete briefing and show you how to operate the boat and its equipment safely.

Melissa is available exclusively with a skipper and cannot be rented for self-drive use.

Yes. Atlantis and Aiolia are available for self-drive rental. The designated driver must be at least 21 years old and attend the pre-departure briefing.

If you prefer not to drive, you can also book a skipper.

Absolutely. A skipper can be added to Atlantis or Aiolia, while Melissa is always operated with a skipper.

A skippered trip is ideal if you simply want to relax and enjoy the day without worrying about navigation, anchoring or operating the boat. Your skipper can also help choose the best route and stops according to the weather and sea conditions.

We strongly recommend booking in advance, especially during the summer season.

A 30% deposit is required to confirm your reservation. Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive access to your personal Boat Guest Portal with your reservation details, payments, instructions and other useful information.

Safety comes first. If the weather or sea conditions are unsuitable for your planned trip, we will first try to change the route, departure point or move your reservation to another suitable date during your stay.

If we cannot safely operate your trip on any suitable alternative date, all amounts paid for the cancelled rental will be refunded in full.

If you cancel a confirmed reservation for personal reasons while the trip can operate normally, the 30% reservation deposit is non-refundable.

If your plans change, contact us as early as possible. When possible, we will try to find another suitable date, subject to availability.

Depending on the boat, weather and sea conditions, departures can take place from Provatas, Adamantas or Fyropotamos.

We recommend the best departure point for each trip according to the conditions and your planned route. The confirmed meeting point and directions are provided before your trip.

Your reservation deposit and remaining balance can be paid using the payment options provided during booking and through your personal Boat Guest Portal.

The remaining balance must be settled before departure. Fuel is calculated separately after the trip.

Before Your Trip

No. Fuel is not included because consumption depends on the boat, route, distance, number of passengers and sea conditions.

You pay only for the fuel actually used during your trip.

It depends mainly on the boat and the route you choose.

Our reservation system includes a Fuel Calculator that can give you an approximate cost based on your boat, departure point and planned destinations.

This is an estimate only. The final fuel cost is calculated from the actual consumption after your trip.

Our boats are equipped for a comfortable and safe day at sea, including a sunshade/bimini, swimming ladder, Bluetooth sound system, cooler with frozen water bottles, snorkeling masks, swimming noodles, safety equipment and an auxiliary engine.

Equipment varies slightly between boats, so check the individual boat information for the exact equipment included.

Yes. Life jackets are available, including sizes for children.

If you are travelling with babies or young children, please tell us their ages in advance so we can prepare the appropriate equipment before departure.

We recommend bringing swimwear, towels, sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, drinking water and anything you would like to eat or drink during the trip.

A cooler is provided onboard to keep your drinks cold.

Yes. Depending on availability, you can add drinks and other optional extras to your reservation.

Extras can be selected when booking or added later. If adding them later, please request them no later than the previous day so we can have everything ready onboard.

A SUP can be added to Melissa for €20, subject to availability. It can be selected as an optional extra with your reservation.

If an accident or damage occurs, contact us immediately.

Customers may be responsible for damage or loss caused by misuse, negligence or failure to follow the instructions provided during the briefing.

Do not attempt repairs yourself unless we specifically instruct you to do so.

No. We do not normally require a security deposit. However, the customer remains responsible for damage or loss caused by misuse, negligence or failure to follow the rental and safety instructions.

During Your Trip

We remain available throughout your trip.

If you have a problem, are unsure about the route, notice a change in the weather, have difficulty with the anchor or boat equipment, or simply need advice, contact Blue Mare Boats immediately by phone or WhatsApp.

We know the boat’s location and can guide you according to the situation.

First make sure everyone onboard is safe.

If possible and appropriate, secure the boat so that it cannot drift towards rocks or other hazards, and contact Blue Mare Boats immediately.

Do not attempt mechanical repairs or take unnecessary risks unless instructed by us.

Not every destination is suitable every day, so we recommend the best route based on the actual conditions.

Yes. One of the best parts of renting a boat is stopping at beautiful bays and swimming spots.

However, you must approach the coast carefully, keep clear of swimmers, rocks and shallow areas, and follow the coastal approach and anchoring instructions explained during your briefing.

Yes. On suitable routes, particularly during a full-day trip, we can help you plan a stop at a seaside taverna in Milos or Kimolos.

Depending on the conditions, we may recommend changing your route, remaining in a protected area, returning to your departure point or heading to another safe location.

No, knowing how to swim is not a requirement to be a passenger, but you should tell us if you or anyone in your group cannot swim.

Appropriate life jackets are available onboard, and non-swimmers should follow the safety instructions provided before departure.
